- Need to make sure you are clicking on the right link to the Zoom meeting for that day.
- Going into the wrong meeting will lock out everyone from the correct meeting
- Emphasis again on "resume driven development" – we select the technologies that people want to learn in order to get a new job
- Joel Sharasheff gave demo of the current state of the new web site.
- Question for the main group:
- do we want a navigation bar at the top
- or keep the current buttons for each group to go to their specific page?
- Do we want both?
- Suggestion is to have a consistent menu bar at the top of all pages
- Current development website is using bootstrap with a "jumbotron" at the top for the logo and general information.
- That may be too much for what we want on the website
- Do we want the team pages to keep the current single column format, or move to multiple columns?
- Is going into the website code itself too much detail for the Wednesday meeting?
- It is appropriate at the Monday web team meeting
- We still do not have a wireframe for the MVP website layout.
- We shouldn't be asking questions about the layout until we have a wireframe to work from
- The wireframe should not have any content, it should just show the parts of the pages to be created
- Having everything centered makes it look like an old MySpace page, not using the available screen space effectively
- Suggestion: investigate using a Carousal instead of a Jumbotron at top of the main mage
- Would that look annoying?
- The team doesn't have a website designer. Best we can do is identify websites that have things we want to add to our new site
- Need to make sure the prototype does not get bogged down in design issues
- Need to focus on looking at groups that do what TSSG does, gatherings of technical professionals (NEJUG, SPIN, SQGNE, etc)
Chat from Zoom regarding wireframes
From Paul Scheidemantel to Everyone: 01:44 PM
A website wireframe, also known as a page schematic or screen blueprint, is a visual guide that represents the skeletal framework of a website.[1]:166 Wireframes are created for the purpose of arranging elements to best accomplish a particular purpose. The purpose is usually being informed by a business objective and a creative idea. The wireframe depicts the page layout or arrangement of the website’s content, including interface elements and navigational systems, and how they work together.[2]:131 The wireframe usually lacks typographic style, color, or graphics, since the main focus lies in functionality, behavior, and priority of content.[1]:167 In other words, it focuses on what a screen does, not what it looks like

A wireframe does not have specific text fake Latin is often used instead, Only placement and font size is important. A wirefire does have buttons navigation etc not functional.
