Jon has a new version of his code and gave us a demo.

Lora and Jim want the icon's returned to the footer (removing them to free up screen space was discussed at last WED meeting). making them as small height as possible. 


HEADER & CAROUSEL: 

  • Joel would like the current screen highlighted in the Navbar - and BOLD. 
  • Jon removed the navigation from the carousel to shrink the height of the carousel; it word wraps if need be and that's fine. 
  • Talk about shrinking the size of the tssg logo in the navbar to reduce the height of the header - goal is to also reduce the size of the footer.  
  • Lora made a temp version of the logo taking out the text in the middle would require approval and only be used in mobile. 
  • Instead, we landed on making the logo smaller (no larger than needed for the text in the nav bar) with the middle line still there, okay if it looks like a grey line.

FOOTER: 

  • Lora sent icons for the footer that do not contain text. We'll shrink them. Keep copyright line, can be small.
  • Jon will reduce the size of the icons in the footer using the version without words or a border; Keep border/word version for titles in each team page.
  • Problem displaying all text in Mobile when icons are in footer, footer is hiding the bottom of the text when the icons are brought back to the footer - maybe add a buffer at the bottom so white space is above footer.  

PORTRAIT VS. LANDSCAPE VIEWING:

  • Possibly too many variables related to mobile working for portrait AND landscape modes.
  • Possibly send out an alert if in Landscape mode to switch back to Portrait or drop the footer for landscape mode.
